A super-fast way to sell a home

6th July 2009 Print
A super-fast way to sell a home New home buyers with a property to sell are seven times more likely to achieve a sale than the national average by using leading housebuilder’s George Wimpey North Midlands’ Easymover initiative.

The company’s money-saving incentive is taking around 10 days to generate an offer for customers’ existing homes, compared to the national average of almost 70 days for a property to stay on the market.

Easymover wipes out the ‘hidden’ costs – and the hassle – of moving home. Not only does George Wimpey pay for the new Home Information Pack (HIP), but it also foots the bill for legal fees, stamp duty and removals costs as well as finding a buyer for customer’s existing homes.

Daniel McGowan, Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey North Midlands, says: “Easymover not only alleviates some of the financial burden associated with moving, it is clearly proving to be a fast and effective way to sell an existing property and pave the way to a brand new home.

“Customers using Easymover are taking an average of 10 days to receive an offer for their home, while the most recent Hometrack House Buying Survey shows the average time for a property to stay on the market is 9.9 weeks.”

George Wimpey North Midlands offers a range of exceptional properties across 15 developments in the region - from one and two-bedroom apartments, to family and luxury executive homes. Each enjoys a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

Using Easymover, customers with a house to sell can reserve their new home and then sit back and relax while the housebuilder finds a buyer for their current property – guaranteeing 100% of the market value – and pays the estate agents’ fees.
