Sovereign insures ‘sunshine on a rainy day’

The company, in conjunction with financial advisors Home Insure, has just introduced a new ‘home protect’ plan, which includes accident, sickness and unemployment insurance cover across all the company’s developments, from Edinburgh to Perthshire and Renfrew, providing purchasers with a free insurance policy to protect them financially.
Colin McLachlan, joint managing director of Sovereign House Developments, comments; “With unemployment levels in the UK reaching new heights, extra security when buying a home is an added bonus. This insurance policy helps our buyers plan for the unexpected and would assist them in coping financially if they lost their job, fell seriously ill or had an accident.
“It gives our clients added peace of mind when they are facing a particularly challenging market that we have introduced measures to help them address these testing times, with initiatives such as our ‘home protect’ plan.”
The ‘home protect’ policy will cover buyer’s outgoings, including mortgage payments, utility bills and community charges, for up to 12 months in the event that an accident, sickness or unemployment prevents them from bringing in an income. If two people are named on the purchase agreement then each can be insured, and cover is in additional to any other benefits they may be entitled to*.
Sovereign House currently has five active developments in prime areas across the central belt, with an impressive range of house styles on offer including one, two and three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom townhouses, three-bedroom semi-detached and four-bedroom detached homes, including Ferry Village in Renfrew and the newly launched Brunstane Court in Edinburgh.
The company also boasts three stunning developments in the desirable area of Perthshire. The Broch and Hyalus Bank II, part of the overall Hyalus Bank development, are both situated in Perth town centre, whilst Strathearn View, an attractive family development is located on the outskirts of the town, in the charming rural town of Bridge of Earn.
