Antler Homes gives gala a flying start

23rd July 2009 Print
Local housebuilder Antler Homes has offered its support to Bardsey Sports Club Gala by becoming the event’s major sponsor.

By sponsoring the Falconry Display – a key attraction at the event – Antler Homes has helped to reduce the outgoings of running the gala and, in turn, will help to raise money on the day which will be equally shared between rebuilding Bardsey club house and the sport’s clubs football and cricket sections.

“Receiving sponsorship from Antler Homes has really taken a lot of the pressure off the club this year,” says Carolyn Clayton, one of the event organisers. “We are currently trying to raise funds towards a new club house which we are hoping to start in October this year. Although the annual gala is not a fund raising exercise the donation from Antler Homes will really help with the cost of pulling the Gala together, which in turn will mean the small profit we make on gala day will be much more than we anticipated.”

Bardsey Sports Club Gala takes place on Sunday, August 2nd; at Bardsey Sports Club in Keswick Lane between 2pm and 5pm. Attractions on the day include a Falconry Display, majorettes, inflatables, fairground attractions and much more.

Nicola Dean, Sales and Marketing Director for Antler Homes, says: “Antler Homes always likes to give something back to the local communities in which it builds. The annual Bardsey Sports Club Gala seemed like the perfect event to sponsor and we are delighted to offer our support.”

Antler Homes’ Stone Bank Gardens development is located in Wetherby Road in Bardsey and features a selection of two bedroom apartments as well as four bedroom houses.

For further information about the development the show home is open daily between 10am and 5pm, or visit antlerhomes.co.uk to find out more.
