Gladedale urges buyers to move fast for best prices

Recent research indicates that house prices in the UK are beginning to rise, yet housebuilder Gladedale in North East England continues to market selected plots at prices lower than in 2008.
Gladedale believes smart buyers are taking advantage of the upturn in the market by snapping up the best deals on new homes that are ready to move into. And with part exchange* and shared purchase* still available from the housebuilder till the end of September 2009 buyers do not have to worry about selling an existing property. On selected plots, first time buyers do not even need a deposit.
Richard Jones, Sales Director for Gladedale in North East England, said: “The best deals can’t remain open for much longer. As the market shows signs of recovery the price of new homes will inevitably start to rise in line with the price of second hand properties. The slow down in the property market created a surplus of stock units on selected developments and at the moment we are in a position to offer some fantastic deals on these homes, but when these are gone, they are gone.
“We are seeing interested buyers returning to the market to investigate the range of offers currently available across the north east. Buyers should be in no doubt that the best deals are available now and when the stock plots are sold buyers will have missed out.”
Shared purchase means that buyers own 100% of their new property, backed by a 25% interest free loan from the developer for up to ten years. Gladedale is also offering additional incentives to buyers that may be concerned about the market, including free redundancy cover* for three years.
Gladedale’s part exchange initiative has been created to simplify the sales process. Following at least two independent valuations by estate agents, Gladedale agrees a price with the buyer for their home and puts it on the market. This not only allows homebuyers to avoid hefty estate agent fees and advertising costs associated with selling their own property but also means that they can secure the Gladedale home of their choice, hassle-free.
