House hunters search for pools and tennis courts

The recent bout of good weather has driven a notable increase in people searching for a prime Country home that comes with outdoor leisure facilities, or properties that can boast a coastal or riverside location, according to Primelocation.com.

The number of people searching for a prime property with its own swimming pool or tennis courts has risen by nearly 20% over the last month as home searchers inspired by the recent sunshine add outdoor leisure facilities to their wish list.

As buyers look for a location that will make the most of any good weather, the number of people searching for a home with a coastal or waterside setting has also increased, up 14% and 8% respectively on the previous month.

Andrew Smith, Head of Research for Primelocation.com, said:

“While there is always a market for good properties that come with sought after ‘extras’ such their own pool or tennis courts, a period of good weather tends to drive up enquiries for properties that offer such facilities.

“The recent sunshine has resulted in a spike in activity on our site, as an increasing number of buyers look for a home that will make the most of the summer months.”
