Buyers get smart with Taylor Wimpey

With house prices rising for the second successive month according to Halifax*, leading house-builder Taylor Wimpey has launched its ‘Smart Money’ campaign to help customers take advantage of the market and save thousands of pounds on their move.

Using the scheme, anyone reserving a new home before it has been built at George Wimpey, Bryant Homes and Taylor Wimpey developments across the North Midlands will have their mortgage or rent paid on their existing home until their new home is ready for their move.

Daniel McGowan, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Buying a new home before it has been built offers a host of advantages for the purchaser, including having the pick of the plots guaranteed at today’s prices, even if other properties of the same design increase in value.

“‘Smart Money’ is an excellent way to save thousands of pounds before moving, and with signs that confidence is returning to the property market, now really is a good time to secure a home.”

To qualify for their current home to be paid for by Taylor Wimpey, ‘Smart Money’ customers need to provide their last three bank statements as proof of their monthly mortgage or rental payments and, after 28 days, Taylor Wimpey will hand over a cheque covering all payments to be made before the new home is ready to be occupied.

For example, if the customer’s existing monthly payments are £950, and their new home will be ready in six months, they will receive a lump sum for £5,700 – an ideal way to afford a fabulous holiday or amazing interior designs and furnishing options for their new dream home.

Daniel adds: “Homes bought before they have been built also offer the perfect opportunity for buyers to add finishing touches which make a house a home.
