Friends buy dream home at Hunts Cross

Emma Owen and Elizabeth Appleyard Best friends Emma Owen and Elizabeth Appleyard are celebrating after moving into their first home at Bellway’s popular Hunts Cross development.

Emma (24) and Elizabeth (22) have been friends since they were toddlers when their parents were neighbours in Childwall.

The girls, who also both studied at the University of Manchester Science and Technology (UMIST), decided to pool their funds and buy at Hunts Cross Village rather than rent.

They have just moved into the three bedroom former showhome at the Edwards Lane development. And, as an added bonus the townhouse has come complete with all fixtures, fittings, furnishings and furniture.

Said Emma: “We decided that we wanted to get on the property ladder and buy rather than rent. By putting our money together we have been able to buy a property we are really happy with. We didn’t want to rent as we thought it was a waste of money and we wanted a place of our own.

“We decided on Hunts Cross Village as we wanted to stay in the area and obviously wanted a nice property. We had started to think about buying a flat but when we saw the townhouse we just fell in love with it.

“We have also been able to just move in as the house is fully furnished including a fully fitted kitchen, carpets and curtains throughout, sofa and beds. Even the gardens are landscaped, which is great for us as it’s our first home. We ‘re really pleased with everything.”

Hunts Cross Village is a development of two and three bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroom houses ranging from £127,995 to £185,995.

Purchasers can also take advantage of incentives on selected plots including five per cent deposit paid.
