Housing festival opens its doors in Liverpool
A fantastic 60s’ Merseybeat band will be the opening act at Redrow’s Festival of Housing in April – combining good old family fun with the chance to find your dream home.Starting at Cressington Heath in Garston, this weekend (21/22 April) between 12pm and 4pm, home hunters will be able to get into the carnival atmosphere with a performance by The Shakers between 1pm and 3pm each day, along with children’s entertainers and a delicious hot dog and refreshment stand.
And with everyone in high spirits, there will be no better time for visitors to take a look around the development and its gorgeous show homes.
Christine Aitken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) says: “Now that summer is officially here, there’s no better time to think about making that house move. Our ‘Festival of Housing’ is going to be an enjoyable day out for all the family – balloon modelling and face painting will keep the children entertained, and adults can enjoy the fantastic live music from local band The Shakers whilst being on the look out for their dream home.”
A range of homes are currently available at Cressington Heath, from one-bedroom apartments, priced from £124,995 to five-bedroom detached homes starting at £349,995. The development itself has taken design influences from the locality and proximity to the River Mersey, with some homes incorporating nautical-inspired features.
And for anyone wanting to dip their toes into Cressington Heath life, a host of special summer offers are now available.
Christine explains: “We’re currently offering a free conservatory with our five-bedroom Wharfe and Webburn, and four-bedroom Walkham homes, just in time for our customers to take advantage of the summer weather around the corner. We’ll also be giving visitors at our Festival of Housing information on our Mastermove scheme – the way to sell your existing home in three easy steps.”
The fun will continue the following weekend (28/29 April) as the Festival of Housing moves to Kingfield Park, at Orrell Park, where visitors will be able to take in the show home and special offers available, whilst enjoying some complimentary wine and nibbles.
Christine says: “With Kingfield Park, we’re offering buyers quite a rarity – a development of purely detached properties. Government guidelines encourage developers to build more space saving homes such as apartments and terraces or townhouses. And yet detached homes remain incredibly desirable, probably because of the extra privacy and space they can offer – making the homes at Kingfield Park very special indeed.”
Both three and four-bedroom properties are currently available, with prices starting at £179,995 for a three-bedroom Hardwick, and £199,995 for a four-bedroom Langdale – which is available to view as a fabulous show home.
To tempt would-be purchasers further, Redrow is currently offering to take care of the 5% deposit on selected Langdales and three-bedroom Kennets (priced from £189,995), as well as including fitted carpets throughout.
“We wanted to make it easier than ever for people to make Kingfield Park their home, and these incentives should take much of the pressure to save up before moving in away. The Liverpool area is enjoying a real renaissance at the moment, and our development is just the place to enjoy it.”
Located just five miles away from Liverpool, the 2008 European Capital of Culture, buyers at Kingfield Park in Orrell Park will have easy access to the city and its exciting mix of shopping, culture and nightlife. Regular bus and rail services run into the city, making life easy for commuters and busy families alike.
“Our Festival of Housing is the perfect way to spend an afternoon with the family, whilst getting in a spot of house hunting as well. Our summer offers won’t be around for long, which means the coming weekends are a definite date for the diary.”
Redrow’s Festival of Housing is being held at Cressington Heath, in Garston, on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April, between 12pm and 4pm, with special appearances by The Shakers on both days. To find out more about the event, and the development, call 0845 676 0510.
