Festival of fun

Visitors to the funfair-inspired event in Garston were greeted by Liverpool’s swinging sixties band, The Shakers, as well as colourful balloon modeller, ‘Balloon Wyzzard’.
Children delighted at being turned into fearsome lions or pretty fairies thanks to the skills of Annie the face painter and, after working up an appetite, refreshments were on hand.
Irene Gifford, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire) said: “Cressington Heath is a real family development with a growing community and the Festival of Housing certainly provided fun for everyone. The weather was kind and the entertainment really set the mood for the day.
“The band was fabulous and had everyone tapping their feet! The Festival was also the first chance for budding home buyers to catch a glimpse of our new three-bedroom Lambourne property – which has seen a surge of popularity with many being sold off-plan already.”
The development currently has a wide range of stunning three, four and five-bedroom homes available, priced from £194,995, £243,995 and £349,995 respectively.
Included in these properties is the ‘Ribble’ house type, an elegant, detached home with four spacious bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom and separate dining room. This detached home also enjoys a detached single garage, under-stairs storage and a downstairs cloakroom. The ‘Ribble’ is priced at £269,995.
Irene adds: “As well as the success of our three-bedroom homes now on release, our four and five-bedroom properties also have an added extra at the moment – money-saving incentives designed to help home-buyers, but only for a limited time.
“For example, we can provide a free fitted conservatory on selected detached properties, as well as paying the stamp duty.”
Cressington Heath will eventually comprise 314 new homes on a 35-acre site formally owned by Associated British Ports (ABP) between Aigburth and Garston.
Once complete, it will offer everything from two-bedroom apartments, through town houses and semi-detached properties to large and luxurious detached homes.
The development is situated in the Garston area of Liverpool, and has no less that six primary schools close by as well as two secondary schools in the Garston and Speke area.
Only a short drive from the development, Liverpool is a thriving city that’s expanding and improving day by day as it gears up for the 2008 Capital of Culture celebrations. From the sophisticated dining available at the exclusive bars and restaurants at the Albert Docks, the many clubs and pubs that fill the city, to the fascinating heritage of places like St. George’s Hall and the wonderful museums and art galleries – there is something to keep everyone entertained.
