Back to its former glory

The existing building, which has previously been Merrilocks nursing home and a residential house, is now being restored to its former glory by Charles Church architects, who are taking meticulous care to retain the character and original features of the building. There is also a new build extension to the building, creating 8 new build apartments.
Claire Jarvis, Sales Manager, says: “At Merrilocks we have taken the utmost care to ensure that any original features have been maintained. Apartments boast quirky ceilings, stone balconies and timber windows. There is a grand staircase within the renovation, leading up to the apartments on the first and second floors, and this really makes a statement upon entry and is guaranteed to be a focal point of the building.”
Merrilocks is a development of luxury apartments, some of which are brand new and others which are renovated, and all of which have high specification and state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings. Kitchens are equipped with under unit lighting, stainless steel oven, hob and integrated extractor hood, a freestanding fridge/freezer and washer/dryer and integrated dishwasher
A lift services all new build apartments and the top floor of the renovation. There are secure audio door entry systems for all apartments and burglar alarms fitted to lower ground floor and ground floor apartments. The development sits within a conservation area with communal landscaped gardens and each apartment has one allocated parking space.
The development is located in an affluent, well-established residential suburb north of Liverpool. It is close to Blundellsands & Crosby railway station, the M57 is easily reached, and Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport and Manchester International Airport are just one hour away.
