The ‘Tardis' is moving well in Prescot

In the current climate isn't it great to hear some good news, and it comes from David Wilson Homes which has just announced that more than 80 per cent of the houses on its Sandstone Gardens development in Prescot have been sold.

Proving particularly popular is the Newsham design, a three-bedroom three storey home recently purchased by the Roberts family who have nicknamed it the ‘Tardis' because it is so spacious!

Margaret and Peter Roberts, who have two daughters love the flexibility that their new house offers. Their previous home was on a new development but they needed to move to gain extra bedroom space for the girls.

Friends recommended that they take a look at Sandstone Gardens as it was only one and a half miles from where they lived and they were so impressed with the development it didn't take long before they were packing up their belongings.

Margaret explains: "The location of the Sandstone Gardens development was ideal for us. We love the area and moving just down the road meant that our daughters didn't even have to move schools. As the girls grew up we always new that we would need a larger home but didn't want to disrupt them by moving to a new area so when we visited Sandstone Gardens we knew we had found the perfect place."

And it wasn't just the location of the David Wilson Homes development that impressed Margaret and Peter.

"I have bought older properties before but really enjoy the fact that a new house is virtually maintenance free", says Peter. Peter is in the building industry but knows that DIY is the last thing he wants to do when he gets home. Margaret continues: "Opting into part-exchange was a real added bonus. We were able to sit back and relax in the comforts of our own home without having to worry about some of the instabilities a property chain can involve, this little detail really made a big difference in the ease of our move."

Just one Newsham home now remains on the Sandstone Gardens development which really does have something for everyone, with a fantastic range of spacious two bedroom apartments and stylishly designed three and four bedroom terraced homes and townhouses set within a carefully landscaped setting.
