Miller Homes is ahead of the game

Miller Homes is ahead of the game If you are looking for the next property hotspot, then Miller Homes’ “Connaught Green” in Anfield should be high on your list. With extensive redevelopment of the area already begun, it ticks all the boxes of a boom area in the making.

The comprehensive redevelopment of Anfield is now well underway. Last year even saw the purchase of homes advanced ahead of schedule to accelerate the pace of this major scheme.

With Liverpool FC moving, the location of Anfield Football Stadium is set to rise like a phoenix. Setting the tone for the whole area, it will be a show stopping, showcase development. With a hotel, shops, cafés, bars and leisure facilities, the new Anfield Plaza will not only provide over 60,000 new jobs for the area, it will ensure it becomes a very desirable place to live.

About 1,300 new homes are being constructed in the area, replacing 1,700 existing ones. The outside space is also being refurbished, with a design brief to create high quality, attractive open spaces.

“Recently we have seen more enquiries – there has been a definite increase in interest” says Jacqui Gutteridge, Sales Consultant at “Connaught Green”. “There is a real buzz about the area.

“I think the redevelopment is getting very visible – whole areas are changing very quickly. It is obviously going to become a very smart and very desirable place to live.

“Those who are coming through now, the “early uptakers” will be in the best position. There is a housing shortage in the country and, with many builders halting construction this year, the UK is falling further and further behind the Government’s target of building 3 million new homes by 2020. This housing shortage is holding a lot of pent-up demand in the housing market, so in the long term demand will grow again - and this could well occur sooner than some people are predicting. All this means that property is still a very secure long term investment .

“But in Anfield, we have the addition of this extensive redevelopment that is changing the housing market of the area. It is thought that the redevelopment of the area will lead to substantial increases in house prices in the short to medium term. So whatever view you take, Anfield is the best bet if you want to be ahead of the game.”

‘Connaught Green’ lies within 2 miles of the city centre of Liverpool. With fast commuting times, and easy access to the buzzing nightlife, the development combines the best of the city with the best of suburban living. It offers 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes from just £174,950, and the Government backed Home Buy Direct scheme [pay 70% now, 30% later] is now available.
