Miller Homes helps the Manley’s onto the ladder

Miller Homes helps the Manley’s onto the ladder John and Kelly Manley have been able to purchase their first home thanks to Miller Homes. The Manley’s have recently moved to a new 3 bedroom home at Bridgewater Park in Netherley.

John and Kelly purchased their property using Miller Homes’ MiWay scheme, which gives customers the chance to pay ‘75% now, 25% later’, yet still own 100% of their property. Miller Homes has now launched a similar initiative to MiWay at Bridgewater Park, under the Government’s Homebuy Direct scheme. Homebuy Direct is designed to help those looking to get on the property ladder with a household income of less that £60,000. The scheme is open to; first time buyers, key workers and people re-entering the property market after a relationship breakdown or families wanting to move to a bigger home.

Buyers qualifying for Homebuy Direct can select one of the new family homes offered in the scheme on this attractive Miller Homes development. They have the opportunity to purchase 100% of their home by paying 70% of the value now. Miller Homes and the Government equally fund the remaining 30%. This 30% equity loan is interest free for the first five years and will only become repayable after 25 years or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.

John and Kelly purchased a ‘Newton’ house design and are delighted with their new home. John says: “The size of the property, along with the build quality were what really appealed to us. We really like the whole layout of the house and it has lots of storage space. Downstairs we have a spacious lounge at the front, with a kitchen dining area at the rear. This space has French doors leading out to a large garden, which is great for us as we have a pet dog. Upstairs, the master bedroom is large and we have two further bedrooms for when friends and family come to stay.

“The location of Bridgewater Park is also ideal for us, as we both work in Liverpool City centre. Netherley is an up and coming area and we have lots of amenities in the area. There is also lots of green space, with football pitches and a golf course nearby.”

John continues: “Being able to pay for just part of the property up front made it an easy way for us to get on the property ladder. We were renting a flat before and really wanted to buy a property we could call our own. Miller Homes made this possible and were very helpful at every stage of the process. I would recommend them to anyone.”

Bridgewater Park is a popular small and attractive development, within easy reach of Liverpool city centre. Homeowners here have all the convenience of being near to the city centre yet also benefit from green open spaces and countryside close by.
