Site Manager builds framework for successful future

The 31-year old site manager at Redrow’s Cressington Heath, in Liverpool, is celebrating winning a ‘Quality’ award in the National House-Building Council’s (NHBC) annual Pride in the Job initiative.
It’s the second time Shaun has picked up the accolade and he will now find out in October if he has won a coveted ‘Seal of Excellence’. The Awards will then culminate with the announcement of the four overall Supreme Award winners at a gala ceremony in London in January 2010.
Shaun, who began his career as a joinery apprentice won the latest honour for his work at Cressington Heath, a development of three, four and five-bedroom homes situated in the Garston area of Liverpool.
He has worked as a site manager for Redrow for 10 years and has worked at a number of Redrow developments throughout the North West.
He was one of only 406 site managers from 13,000 across the UK to win an NHBC ‘Quality’ award this year and one of seven Redrow site managers enjoying success. Shaun’s achievement reflects the calibre of his site management, including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and leadership and organisational skills.
Shaun, who lives in Lea, Lancashire says: “I am thrilled to win this award a second time around. It’s not just a reflection of my hard and dedication but that of the whole teams involved in Cressington Heath.”
The homes built under Shaun’s care at Cressington Heath enjoy a great location near to Liverpool city centre and all its attractions. It also excellent commuter networks with the M62 being nearby.
