Buyers do their homework in Cheadle Heath

2nd February 2007 Print
Scholars Green A new development promising highly sought after detached properties has got Cheadle Heath homebuyers highly excited.

For more than 80 prospective purchasers have bombarded Rowland Homes with early enquiries after spotting land-acquired signs in the established residential area of Avondale Road.

Rowland has secured planning permission to build a new venture of 59 houses on the site of the redundant Avondale Centre, helping fulfil pent up demand for quality new build property in Cheadle Heath.

Coming soon, Scholars Green will present buyers with the opportunity to own one of a variety of detached homes or three-storey townhouses – and it’s local people who are queuing up to make the move from old to new.

Andy Finch, sales and marketing director for Rowland Homes, said: “Around ninety five per cent of early enquiries have been generated by local people, which demonstrates the sheer demand for better quality homes in this area.

“People who reside in Cheadle Heath don’t want to move to relocate, they want to move to improve their home life in a more spacious home equipped with modern specification. There’s been very little new build within the area for many years, so when news filters through of a forthcoming development there’s a real sense of anticipation in the air. People have got to be on the ball to be in with a chance of securing a home at Scholars Green – and so far, they’re proving they are watching every move.

“We’ve had a fantastic reception to the development and buyers are not going to be disappointed. Watch this space.”

A choice of four different styles of detached homes will be offered at Scholars Green, proving buyers with appealing alternatives in layout and design.

Rowland is also building three-storey townhouses, which present various options to utilise living space, like an additional room on the second floor, which could become a handy study or hobby room.

Around 25 per cent of the new homes have been designated for shared ownership.

Rowland is taking great care to retain the existing mature trees that border the site on Avondale Road, which will enhance privacy for residents and the visual appeal of the development during the Spring and Summer.

Building work has started and Rowland is expected to announce the start of sales in early Spring.

Rowland Homes has been building across Lancashire and the Fylde Coast for 14 years, establishing a strong presence in key locations such as Lytham, Blackpool and Wigan.

Operational throughout the North West, the company is currently responsible for developments in Liverpool, Wirral, Monton, Morecambe, Cheetwood and Mossley and has forthcoming sites in Widnes, Bolton, Stockport, Liverpool and Wirral.
