Festival of housing homes in on Widnes

17th April 2007 Print
Home hunters in need of some fun and relaxation will find what they’re looking for when Redrow’s Festival of Housing comes to town this weekend (21/22 April). Taking place at the company’s Chapel Gate venture in Ditton, between 12pm and 4pm each day, guests will be treated to complimentary wine and nibbles while they take a look around the development and find out about the special summer offers available.

And looking forward to the event is Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (North West). She says: “As the evenings are getting lighter, a sense of anticipation is in the air about what the summer will bring – making this the perfect time to think about that house move. Our Festival of Housing will be a fun opportunity for visitors to look around our show apartment and get a feel for Chapel Gate as a whole.”

The property on offer at Chapel Gate will be of particular interest to first time buyers and young professionals, as the range of one and two-bedroom apartments available here start from just £99,950 for a one-bedroom property, and £109,950 for a two-bedroom design.

Patsy says: “As house prices continue to rise, getting a foothold on the property ladder can take longer than ever. Chapel Gate offers the ideal solution – our apartments are stylish and superb value for money, especially when compared to nearby cities such as Liverpool.

“And right now, we have a very special property on our hands – our show apartment has just become available to buy. Priced at £119,950 this is a fantastic opportunity to see your potential new pad in all its glory. And even better, the lucky buyers will be able to start enjoying the apartment straight away, because all the furniture, carpets, fixtures and fittings come included in the price – allowing the new owners to bypass any stressful shopping trips!”

The show apartment opens with a spacious hallway, and has an open-plan kitchen and living space, with plenty of room for entertaining. Two bedrooms would suit friends buying together, or perhaps a couple after a little extra space, and the bathroom offers both bath tub and over-bath shower with screen.

The décor is elegant, with pale cream carpets throughout and dark brown leather-look sofas. Two turquoise statement walls, one in the lounge area and the other in the master bedroom, add a burst of colour and matching artwork ties the look together. The kitchen is slick and modern, with white units with stainless steel appliances.

Patsy adds: “There will only be one chance for buyers to get their hands on our fabulously designed show apartment, and our Festival of Housing is the ideal opportunity for visitors to sneak a peek at what could be their dream new home. Those who want to get on the property ladder should make a date in their diaries now.”

Situated just two miles away from Widnes town centre, Chapel Gate has an enviable location. Liverpool and Warrington are just 11 and eight miles away respectively, and regular bus services run to other neighbouring towns. All motorway networks are also within close proximity with links to the M62, M56, M57 and M6 – a commuters dream.

Redrow’s Festival of Housing is taking place at Chapel Gate on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April, between 12pm and 4pm each day.
