Emma and David recently moved into a new home at Miller Homes’ Saxon Park development in Sankey Bridges and say they have never looked back. The happy couple married on Saturday 9 June, after a whirlwind romance and jetted off for their honeymoon in Lake Maggiore, Italy. The two met at their local pub, the Butchers Arms in Great Sankey last year and decided that they wanted to buy a new home to start new lives together.

After a long search, visiting many show homes and numerous developments, Emma and David found their dream home at Miller Homes’ Saxon Park. Their lovely new home is a 4 bedroom semi-detached ‘Carlton’, one of eight house designs in the development. The ‘Carlton’ has an attractive traditional façade which hides the fact that this is a spacious 3 storey family home.

As well as the integral garage, the ground floor includes a bright, spacious, contemporary kitchen and dining area, featuring French doors opening onto the rear garden. Emma and David find this relaxing living space is perfect for family meal times or entertaining. The bright airy lounge, which boasts French windows and a Juliet Balcony overlooking the garden, is located on the first floor, with bedrooms two and three and the family bathroom. Hidden away on the second floor, at the top of the house, is a surprisingly large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, giving busy parents Emma and David some much needed peace and quiet.

With five children between them, and both working full time, Emma and David needed a home that would be easy to maintain and look after, as well as having all the modern conveniences a growing family needs. The decision to buy a new home was easy to make. The hard part was finding a house style to suit their family, a location that was attractive and safe for the children and a housebuilder that would offer them value for money. Emma says: “We just fell in love with the location. Saxon Park is the perfect place to live. We love to go for walks or ride our bikes with the children along the banks of the Mersey. The house itself is amazing, the dining kitchen is the perfect place to spend family time, it’s so roomy. We are having decking built at the moment so we can make more use of the garden. Another favourite thing about the house is the master bedroom, on the top floor. This gives David and I some peace and quiet, while the children take over the first floor, it’s great!”

David says: “We visited so many show homes and developments, but Miller Homes had what we were looking for. The Miller Sales Consultants were so helpful, they were as excited as we were about buying the house. All I can say is I have a lovely home, great kids and things couldn’t be better.”
