Globetrotters settle down with Redrow Homes

The latest north-west recruits for house builder Redrow went all over the world to find their dream jobs. Amanda Sinnott-Davies spent two and half years living in Austria and Lesley Dunphy travelled across Australia, South East Asia and America.

But the pair have now packed up their suitcases to take up positions with the sales team at Preston-Brook based Redrow Homes (North West).

Amanda, 34, lives in Widnes with her partner Peter and children, Jamie, 13, Daniel, 11, and Christian, eight. She spent her time in Austria, working as an English teacher.

She said: “When I returned to England I wanted to work in the new homes industry as I was looking for a career change and it is a very exciting time for the industry right now. I was ready to take on a new challenge and Redrow has always appealed to me as it has got a positive national profile and a reputation for being a very good quality house builder.”

Amanda is currently based at the Ty Newydd development in Wrexham, and is enjoying her new role.

She said: “All of my new colleagues have been really nice and supportive and I am relishing the challenges that the job brings, I like to be busy and to meet different people and I enjoy multi-tasking.”

Lesley, 19, a trainee sales consultant, lives in Chester and has recently returned from a six-month round the world trip with her friends.

She is currently splitting her time between Stamford Brook in Altrincham and the Woodlands Grange development in Bromborough, Wirral.

Lesley said: “When I came back from travelling I had the opportunity to go to university but I decided that joining the team at Redrow was a great boost for my career.

“I am interested in the housing industry and I have been really enjoying my new job. There is a lot to learn but all of my work colleagues have been great.”

Redrow builds approximately 5,000 new homes per annum across the UK and is committed to high standards of design, build quality and customer service.
