Bottoms up for Cheshire home hunters Redrow Homes will be raising a glass to prospective buyers with a wine tasting event to mark the launch of a stunning new show home at Lawes Chase in Farndon.

The four-bedroom Lynton opens its doors to visitors on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March when homehunters will be able to sample a range of delicious red and white wines.

A wine expert will be on hand to talk about the drink that many people call their favourite tipple and will advise on the professional technique of tasting.

Barbara Wright, area sales manager for Redrow (North West) says: “The wine tasting gives potential buyers the chance to have a look around this spacious show home in a relaxed and sociable environment which is often a more natural setting for many.

“And it gives people an opportunity to meet others who are also looking to move and you never know it’s possible that you could be speaking to your future neighbours.”

Lawes Chase is set in the Cheshire village of Farndon, on the English/Welsh border.

The professionally designed and decorated Lynton show home is perfect for families and epitomises the village lifestyle.

The property offers a modern twist on country life, and is spacious yet cosy, making it the perfect family home.

Plain textured fabrics have been used throughout to contrast with the modern wallpapers.

Decorated in navy and cream with hints of burnt orange the lounge features an inviting fireplace, and has a three seater and two seater sofa set in an L-shape, perfect for relaxing.

Moving upstairs the family theme is carried through with two of the bedrooms designed with children in mind. One features funky fish wallpaper with bright accessories, while the other is a fun room with a horseriding theme.

And not forgetting the grown- ups the double guest room has a four poster bed with a walnut finish.

Barbara added: “We’re delighted to have this wonderful new show home because when it comes to buying a home, being able to see it ‘in the flesh’ can really help you make that all important decision.

“The Lynton is a four bedroom family home with a generously proportioned, modern kitchen with breakfast area, a separate dining area which lends itself to more formal dining occasions, and an expansive lounge, which is perfect for entertaining or relaxing with a book in front of the serene garden, and which has the added feature of a window seat, set in the bay window.

"Upstairs, the well-appointed master bedroom and airy en-suite shower room are joined by three additional bedrooms and a stylish fitted family bathroom.”

Lawes Chase is situated off Townfield Lane in Farndon, which is just five miles from Chester and Wrexham, making it ideal for those looking for a more relaxed pace of life within easy reach of the city.

The development will eventually comprise a mix of apartments, detached, semi-detached and mews housing offering something for everyone.

Prices are from £179,950 for a two-bedroom apartment above an integral single garage, with house prices starting at £214,950 for a three-bedroom semi-detached with double parking space. The Lynton is available with a detached garage from £375,000.

As well as creating new homes Redrow is undertaking various measures to protect the local environment, including preservation of mature hedges, significant new planting and retaining and managing land to the west of the site as a foraging habitat for barn owls and other wildlife. Special nesting structures for barn owls are also being provided.
