Direct help for Warrington house hunters Determined to make 2009 the year you step on the property ladder but are unsure about whether now is a good time to buy? Heard the words ‘HomeBuy Direct’ but don’t completely understand what the scheme is actually all about? If so, you need to make sure you attend the HomeBuy Direct event at Regency Park on Bewsey Road in Warrington on 6th and 7th June.

Persimmon’s experienced sales advisers will be available to answer any questions property hunters may have about the home buying process.

What’s more, independent financial advisers will also be on hand to discuss finances, a mortgage specialist will be available to advise on options and a representative from HomeBuy Direct will be present to take applications for the newly launched Government-funded shared equity scheme.

HomeBuy Direct is a Government scheme designed to help house hunters, who are priced out of the housing market in their local area, buy a brand new home at a fraction of its market value, enabling households with incomes below £60,000, who can not otherwise afford to purchase unassisted on the open market, to buy a new build home. House hunters will be required to raise funding, including a mortgage plus any deposit, of at least 70 per cent of the purchase price. The remaining 30 per cent is made up by an equity loan which is co-funded by the Government and Persimmon Homes.

However, it’s not just free financial advice that’ll be on offer at Regency Park as visitors will be able to take advantage of some great home-moving deals including deposit paid, legal fees and mortgage subsidies!

Claire Jarvis, sales manager for Persimmon Homes North West, is confident the event will help Warrington’s house hunters. She said: “Those who have never bought before, or for a long time, may be unfamiliar with the jargon that’s associated with buying property and may feel the whole process is something of a minefield.

“However, with our help, we can prove that it’s not as complicated as first imagined. Anyone who is looking to take their first, or subsequent, step on the property ladder should definitely pay a visit to the event at Regency Park and have a chat with our experts.”
