George Wimpey takes centre stage

The company, which recently launched its Jasmine Park development on Whirley Road in Henbury, is sponsoring The Three Musketeers, a swashbuckling production by The Wilmslow Green Room Society that runs from 23rd to 25th July.
The developer has donated £500 to the Society to help it stage this year’s lavish version of Alexandre Dumas’ action-packed novel on the Gawsworth lawns amid the romantic backdrop of the Hall.
The play’s director Celia Bonner said: “This is the Wilmslow Green Room’s 37th year at Gawsworth and, true to form; this year’s production will be a real family affair, with glamorous 16th century costumes and swashbuckling displays of sword fighting.
“It costs us a great deal to stage our open-air productions every year, so we are incredibly grateful to George Wimpey for its support. The money will help enormously with production costs and help us to give our audiences a fabulous evening.”
Anthony Mansfield, regional sales and marketing director for George Wimpey, said: “At George Wimpey, we always try to get involved with the local community when building in a new location, so it’s great to be able to play a part in this production.”
When complete Jasmine Park will consist of 123 homes, comprising two, three, four and five bedroom properties. The development has already courted a great deal of interest from buyers with over 100 visitors turning up for the opening weekend.
George Wimpey has recently unveiled two show homes – the four bedroom detached Eaton and the three bedroom Ashley Mews home for visitors to view at their leisure.
