Site managers rewarded for dedication Commitment and enthusiasm have helped staff at Miller Homes East Midlands scoop a number of coveted awards. Site managers at the award-winning housebuilder have been recognised for their dedication to ensuring high levels of health and safety and build quality.

Malcolm Ceney, production director at Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “In a highly competitive market, we strive to maintain standards across every area of our work, giving people confidence that they will be buying the best properties possible.

“The sales teams can offer prospective buyers a range of packages, such as part exchange and the innovative MiWay schemes, ensuring that even in tough times quality homes really can be affordable.

“It’s all credit to the site managers and their teams for making sure that visitors to developments are given a fantastic first impression of Miller Homes.”

Many of the awards were internal, but Steve Cooper, site manager at Lakeside Country Park, Hamilton, Leicestershire, was presented with the Considerate Constructors Award for Performance above the Standards.

The independent award is judged against strict criteria, with assessors monitoring the performance of site managers.

Other awards included the site manager award (June to December 2008), won jointly by senior site manager Andy Jackson and assistant site manager Chris Topham.

Malcolm Ceney commented: “Together, Andy and Chris formed a great team and their recognition in achieving this award is down to their consistent approach to the quality of their site at Cavendish Wharf, Shardlow, in ensuring excellent results in quality of build, achieving programme, site presentation, health and safety, management of waste & cost control.”
