Schoolgirl wins David Wilson Homes competition A schoolgirl from Sutton Bonington Primary School has pipped her classmates to the post to win an Easter Egghead competition organised by local housebuilder David Wilson East Midlands.

Three classes from the school were kept busy during the Easter holidays after the housebuilder set them the challenge of designing and naming their very own egghead.

Judges from the company were impressed with the quality of the entries received from Reception and Years One and Two, but five year old Isabella Baker’s colourful and bright creation was crowned winner and she was awarded a £30 Toys R Us voucher for her efforts.

6 year old James Hopkinson came second with his egghead named Bill and Isabel Dudley aged 6 came third with her imaginatively named character egg bunny bouncy. Both won Toys R Us vouchers worth £20 and £10 respectively.

Philip Lacey, Sales Director for David Wilson comments “We were very impressed with the standard of the entries and you could tell the children put a lot of effort into designing their egghead characters but Isabella’s colourful creation stood out from the rest so we had to choose it as the winner.

“Sutton Bonington Primary School was the first choice for this competition as our latest development, Rectory Gardens, recently launched in the village.

“As a company, we’re committed to getting involved with local communities and as Rectory Gardens is primarily aimed at families, we thought this competition would be the ideal way to keep children entertained during the holidays.”

Mark Brumwell, Headteacher at Sutton Bonington Primary School comments “I’d like to thank David Wilson for offering us the opportunity to take part in this competition.

“The children thoroughly enjoyed being given the opportunity to get creative during their Easter holidays and Isabella, James and Isabel were thrilled when they found out they had won.”

Rectory Gardens is situated on Main Street in the sought after village of Sutton Bonington and offers a superb collection of bespoke three-, four- and five- bedroom homes.

Prices at the development start from £269,950.
