Miller releases show village properties Three of the four inspirational showhomes that were built as part of a Leicestershire “show village” by Miller Homes have been released for sale.

The village, built at the Trinity Park development in Barrow-upon-Soar, was officially opened in 2006 by Sir Keith Miller, chairman of the award-winning Miller Group, the parent company of Miller Homes East Midlands.

At the time, the homes were described by Sir Keith as a “genuine burst of inspiration” that took the customer experience to a “breathtaking” level.

Now, three of the four showhomes are available for purchase, including the five-bedroomed Swithland and Byron house types. The four bedroomed detached property, the Leven, was reserved within days of being released for sale.

Joy Goodman, sales director of Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “This is a great opportunity for new home buyers to purchase properties that really did hit the headlines for the care and quality that went into building them.

“We are releasing them now because we have had so much interest in them as confidence in the housing market is picking up. Many people have looked around the homes and been impressed by how much home they can get for their money.”

The impressive façade of the five-bedroomed, three-storey Swithland gives an indication of how spacious the property is, with a ground floor that features a lounge, kitchen, family/breakfast room, dining room, utility room and a downstairs cloakroom.

The first floor has a superb master bedroom that features not only an en-suite bathroom, but also a good sized dressing room. The second floor has two spacious bedrooms and a bathroom. The Swithland is priced from £399,950.

The Byron, available from £359,950, is entered via a large hallway, which offers access to a spacious living room, with both this and the adjacent dining room enjoying French doors into the large rear garden.

With its own separate utility room, the kitchen is the height of comfort and practicality with ample space for a breakfast table for those more casual meals. The ground floor of the property is completed with a wc and modern study.
