Homebuyers give Barratt 100 per cent A Leicestershire couple have been so impressed with the service they received from Barratt North Midlands that they awarded the housebuilder 100 per cent in their customer satisfaction survey.

Robin Clayton and his wife Mandy purchased a three- bedroom home at the housebuilder’s The Elms development in Thorpe Astley. In order to monitor and maintain quality customer service, Barratt asks all new homeowners to complete a customer satisfaction survey and in theirs, Robin and Mandy awarded the leading housebuilder top marks.

Health and Safety Manager Robin comments “The staff at Barratt have been absolutely outstanding from start to finish and they literally bent over backwards to make our move as straight forward and stress free as possible.

“We’re more than happy with the service we’ve received, everyone has been incredibly helpful and nothing has been too much trouble. We feel that Barratt are well deserving or our 100 per cent grade.”

49 year old Robin and 45 year old Mandy, who works as a Senior Project and Quality Assurance Manager, were living in Thorpe Astley in a two- bedroom semi-detached home but felt the time had come to move up to a bigger property. The couple looked around a number of developments but found nothing compared to The Elms on Murby Way.

Robin adds “As we already lived in Thorpe Astley we knew the area and liked the fact that it’s quiet and handy for the motorway. Plus, Mandy’s daughter lives around the corner so it’s nice to have family close at hand.”

The couple took advantage of Barratt’s part exchange deal which allowed them to trade in their old two- bedroom semi-detached home for a brand new thee- bedroom home in the style of a Norbury.

Robin adds “We fell in love with the Norbury as soon as we saw it. We liked its layout, exterior design and the fact that the whole top floor is devoted to the master bedroom was a major draw.

“And when we heard about part-exchange that sealed the deal really as it meant we had a guaranteed buyer for our old property and didn’t have to worry about selling during the current market.”

The couple moved into their new home in March and have settled well into their new, bigger home.

Robin concludes “We considered buying a second hand home but when you compare prices, brand new is not that much more expensive. And the beauty of a new build home is that everything is brand new and you can move straight in without having to worry about doing any DIY.

“We love our new home, especially having more space which comes in handy when my son Oliver comes to stay, and we wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending new build homes or Barratt to family or friends.”

James Poynor, Sales Director at Barratt North Midlands comments “We pride ourselves on our customer service and to receive a 100 per cent rating from a customer is a fitting testament to the hard work of all our staff.

“Moving into a new Barratt home should be a pleasurable experience and our staff are dedicated to making your move go as smoothly as possible. We recently scored top marks in the Home Builders Federation customer survey, which rated us as a 4 star builder, and is something we are very proud to say we have achieved.”

The Elms is located on Murby Way and is Barratt’s longest running Leicestershire development. It comprises a selection of three- and four- bedroom homes and is ideal for those seeking quality new homes in a convenient location close to the motorway.

Prices at the development start from £172,995.
