New development unveiled in Tamworth

Housebuilder David Wilson Homes Mercia has this month opened its doors to a new housing development on Leyland Road in Tamworth and taken the unusual step of unveiling the show homes at the same time.

The sales office at Tamefield Rise, on the site of the former Glascote Farm, is now open to receive enquires from potential homebuyers and has two brand new show homes available for people to view.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for David Wilson Homes Mercia explained, “Most new developments are launched off-plan in an attempt to encourage early sales and this is a practice that we continue to do in certain areas. Here in Tamworth however, where new-build competition his very high, we decided to wait until we had product to show before unveiling the scheme to the public.

“Recent interest rate rises have also made homebuyers more cautious about where they spend their money and more than ever, people want to be absolutely confident that they’re making the right decision. So, here at Tamefield Rise we decided to hold fire until the first houses were build complete so we could dress them out as show homes and really give the buying public something to see!”

Tamefield Rise comprises a total of 80 new homes including one- and two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom houses, 3/4-bedroom, three-storey townhouses and four-bedroom detached houses. The scheme is beautifully framed by a large, green open space at the front which shows the feature crescent of detached on the corner of Leyland Road and Dumolo’s Lane houses to its best.

The two show homes available to view are the four-bedroom Cranmore and Selkirk style houses and already large numbers of local people have been to view them. Prices currently begin at £110,800 for the apartments and £220,800 for the houses.
