Tropical heatwave hits Stafford at Scholar's Gate With the first hint of summer upon us, Barratt West Midlands has unveiled a new tropical inspired showhome at its exclusive Scholar's Gate development on School Lane in Stafford.

The five-bedroom Hogarth style detached house has been beautifully designed by Designer Contracts. Catherine Clifton, Senior Interior Designer at Designer Contracts explained, "This stylish family home has been inspired by tropical colours and fabrics which has enabled us to create a bright and vibrant, yet elegant show piece for Scholar's Gate.

"A palette of strong raspberry and lime runs throughout the home with a distinct tropical feel, which has been reflected through the choice of bright floral fabrics and wall art, giving points of interest to each of the rooms. Features such as crystal lighting have also been used in the main areas such as the living room and master bedroom, which highlights the luxurious nature of the homes available at Scholar's Gate."

David Child, Sales Director for Barratt commented, "Showhomes are a very important tool to any new development as it gives homebuyers the chance to not only see the types of homes on offer, but also what it might be like to live there.

"This five-bedroom Hogarth style house is the perfect family home and the interior design scheme really reflects the modern family living available at Scholars Gate. We now have three showhomes available to view at Scholar's Gate, enabling potential purchasers to be able to see the very wide range of properties available at the development."

The Hogarth style detached house is generously laid out over three floors and comprises, large living room with French doors leading to the rear garden, breakfast kitchen with utility room and separate dining room on the ground floor. The large master bedroom sits on the first floor and benefits from stylish en-suite, as does the second bedroom, there is also a third bedroom or study and main family bathroom. The second floor is the perfect self contained unit for older children with two further bedrooms and bathroom.

Scholar's Gate is situated on the outskirts of Stafford town centre, making it ideally located for the local shops and amenities, whilst junction 13 of the M6 is also close by.

Scholar's Gate is an executive development of just 50 luxury homes including two-bedroom apartments and four- and five-bedroom houses. Prices start from £154,950. For more information log on to Barratthomes.co.uk.
