Millfield staff show homebuyers how it's done Two members of staff from housebuilding firm Barratt Mercia have been so impressed with the development on which they work, that each has purchased a property there.

Following over 20 years in the housebuilding industry both, Sales Negotiator Janet Smith who works at Millfield Wharf and fellow Barratt Sales Negotiator Karen Townsend, who also spent time working at the development saw a great opportunity and for two very different reasons both have now bought homes there.

Millfield Wharf in Fazeley is a unique waterside development located on Coleshill Road close to Tamworth town centre and Fazeley Marina. It boasts 57 two-bedroom apartments, which have been designed to appeal to first-time buyers, young professionals, downsizers and in some cases, staff members!

Janet has been based at Millfield Wharf since the development launchedand was so impressed with the properties available that she bought a two-bedroom apartment off-plan almost as soon as they were released for sale. She explained,

"As soon as I saw the plans for Millfield Wharf I knew that it was going to be a great development and after working on site I quickly saw how popular it was with visitors and thought that it would be the perfect place to buy an apartment to rent out. Plus it's been a great way for me to better my skills knowing exactly what its like from the purchasers' point of view."

Karen said, "For as long as I have worked in the housebuilding industry I have never considered living at what is essentially my place of work, but there is something really special about Millfield Wharf that makes it the perfect place to be.

"The development and the design of the buildings have a distinctive quality like nowhere else I have worked before. Bourne and Mill Brooks flow down either side of the development, which makes for a secluded living environment and a really peaceful atmosphere."

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for Barratt added, "Janet and Karen represent the real mix of customers who have bought at Millfield Wharf, all of whom have seen the potential this new development has.

"This scheme has proved immensely popular and is already an attractive addition to the area. The communal parts in particular are beautifully landscaped to make the most of the waterside location and are ready for residents to enjoy!"

Prices for the apartments at Millfield Wharf begin at £171,700 but with the current offers available purchases are possible from as little as £147,700. For more information log on to Barratthomes.co.uk/millfieldwharf.
