Celebrations all round in Stafford

There have been celebrations all round at The Crossings, Persimmon's development in Stafford, as site manager, Quin Cordeux, has received a quality award from Peter Watton, director for the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Quin received the award on behalf of the loyal sub-contract site-based team at The Crossings. For over a year, NHBC inspectors have made spot check visits to the development, assessing Quin's performance at key stages of the construction of all new homes, from foundations to the finished product.

Commenting on the award, Quin said: "Buying a new home is the single largest purchase you'll make in your lifetime so quality and attention to detail is a must. This award will give confidence to potential purchasers in Stafford and will assure them that homes at The Crossings have been built to the highest standard."

The NHBC award was established to reward quality management and raise the standard of service to homebuyers. Awards are judged externally by the NHBC from a total of 17,000 construction sites in the UK and the 'Pride in the Job' award is only given to the top 400 site managers, rewarding the top three per cent those who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the highest quality workmanship.

Quin now goes forward to the next stage of the competition - the Seal of Excellence - winners of which are to be announced at the Pride in the Job Award ceremony in Birmingham on 19th September.
