Housebuilder David Wilson Mercia has welcomed a rather unusual creature to its Tamefield Rise development after owner and first time buyer Jane Webster found her dream home located on Dumulos Way in Tamworth. Jane, 33 and her African Grey parrot Oscar, moved to the development earlier this year, after renting for quite a few years locally in Tamworth. Jane explained,
"I had been looking at a few developments in the area but I found that a lot of the three storey homes I had seen looked more like apartments than actual homes, and it was the character and style of the three storey homes that sold Tamefield Rise to me, plus I was also able to take advantage of David Wilson's Easy Start scheme which helped me to finally get a foot on the property ladder.
"The location of the development is also perfect for me as it is close to the motorway for access to work and most of my friends still live in Birmingham where I am originally from, so it gives me the ability to see them regularly. Plus nearby is Ventura Park which provides me with all the high street shops and outlets I could wish for."

Jane concluded, "There was someone else I had to consider in the move and that was my 18 month old parrot called Oscar.
