Trio of showhomes wows the crowds A trio of interior-designed showhomes at Barratt Mercia's Burgess Brook development in Newcastle-under-Lyme wowed the crowds at the opening event on Friday, 14th November.

Throughout the evening, Barratt staff celebrated the completion of the Edinburgh, Windermere and Ascot homes and flung the doors open to give visitors the first viewing, accompanied by hot snacks and sweet treats. The flawless and intricately decorated three-, four- and five-bedroom showhomes were designed by Cheshire company Lifestyle Interiors and offer potential house buyers a chance to visualise the mark they could make on their own beautiful Burgess Brook property.

The family oriented five-bedroom Ascot with a conservatory has been accented with bright pink, purple and orange, on a neutral base of browns, creams and beige. The elegant lounge boasts a large fitted fireplace with boldly designed purple and pink wallpaper. In the dining room, pinstripe wallpaper and dark wood furniture gives the space an opulent feel, leading through to pink, purple and dark burnt orange in the kitchen. The sumptuous master bedroom boasts an Indian summer theme, with gold wallpaper and a palette of chocolate brown, pink and orange.

Purple highlights give way to a brown and lime colour scheme in the four-bedroom Windermere, which has been designed with a homely and inviting feel in mind. Linen and chenille textures make the property feel earthy and organic, whilst the walnut and black gloss furniture keeps the look contemporary and modern.

Elaine Gore, Partner at Lifestyle Interiors, said, "The three-bedroom Edinburgh showhome we designed features pale wood flooring throughout the ground floor with crisp white walls, accented by a mulberry and turquoise colour palette. A white leather corner sofa is the stand out piece in the lounge, whilst white gloss furniture and dining table are punctuated with purple diamond cut chairs. The kitchen adopts a black and white theme, with mulberry tones - these colours are echoed in the master bedroom, which also boasts metallic details in the fabrics.

"All three homes have a really contemporary, vibrant feel about them, though they are aimed at different occupiers with different lifestyles. I hope when people view the three, they give the wow factor we intended."

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for Barratt Mercia, said, "Anyone who walks through the front doors of our show homes will really get a feel of the quality of life they could lead at the development. And they offer the scope for people to see how they could stamp their own identity on to a property.

"What is more, if customers take advantage of our part exchange offer, they will find that breaks many of the difficult house buying chains which can add significantly to the stress of moving home."

Burgess Brook is situated on Keele Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme and offers three-, four-, and five-bedroom homes, with prices starting from £211,950. For further information, log on to Barratthomes.co.uk.
