Miller Homes opens its doors in Cannock

Miller Homes opens its doors in Cannock To mark the launch of 15 properties released under the Government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme in Cannock, Miller Homes will be hosting a special HomeBuy Direct weekend at its Littleton Green development on 28th and 29th March.

The award-winning housebuilder will be opening its doors to prospective homebuyers in the region, providing the opportunity to find out more about the HomeBuy Direct scheme works and speak to experts for advice.

The scheme makes this selection of homes affordable to first time buyers, key workers and current households earning less than £60,000 who cannot afford to buy a property on the open market.

Under the initiative, buyers will have the opportunity to purchase 100 percent of their home by paying 70 percent of the value, with both Miller Homes and the Government equally funding the remaining 30 percent. One of the big bonuses of the scheme is that the equity loan is only repayable after 25 years, and there is no interest payable for the first five years.

HomeBuy Direct is a much-welcomed initiative according to regional sales director Linda Androlia: “The release of these homes is a great shot in the arm for prospective homebuyers in Cannock. It will enable more people who have found it almost impossible to get a foot on or climb the property ladder, either due to the tightening of mortgage lending or because they have struggled to raise the deposits they need to secure a brand new home.

“With the immense affordability of these properties, we’re sure they’ll be snapped up, so we urge househunters to act quickly.”

Littleton Green features a range of beautiful three, four and five bedroom homes. Situated on the Stafford Road within close proximity to Cannock Chase, the development has become particularly popular with families looking to move to a larger home. Local amenities are excellent, with a choice of convenience stores just a short walk from the development, and a wider choice of outlets, including chemists, butchers, bakers, off-licenses and supermarkets a few minutes away in the centre of Cannock.

Meanwhile, a short trip into Stafford brings a wide range of high street names into reach. Littleton Green is also convenient for the M6 and M6 Toll, making it a good base for commuting into Wolverhampton and Birmingham.

Properties at Littleton Green start from £174,950 for a three bedroom home, but with HomeBuy Direct could be yours from as little as £122,465. To find out if you qualify for a HomeBuy Direct property at the development, call or visit the sales office at Stafford Road, Huntingdon, WS12 4PD - open daily from 10am to 5pm, or visit millerhomes.co.uk.
