Footy fan finds fortune in Burton

Adam Edwards was presented with the shirt by Burton Albion winger Keith Gilroy and Julie Darby of Miller Homes, following a prize draw for visitors to the Hopwood development over the spring bank holiday weekend.
Adam said: “I’m thrilled to win this great prize as I’ve always been a huge supporter of the club. Rest assured, the shirt will take pride of place on my wall!”
Linda Androlia, regional sales director for Miller Homes, said “It’s great that a real fan has won the prize, and a good way of celebrating our ongoing partnership with Burton Albion.”
“The open weekend proved a success with eager buyers, with many house hunting Albion fans turning out to see what the development had to offer.”
Hopwood is situated off Princess Way in Stretton, just a few minutes’ walk from Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium. Located on the main bus route and benefitting from excellent transport links, a wealth of beautiful countryside is within easy reach of the scheme, including Derbyshire Peak District, Tutbury Castle and Staffordshire's Cannock Chase.
Many of the three and four bedroom homes also boast park views, offering a quiet retreat and providing the perfect setting for family life.
Linda added: “One of the purposes of the bank holiday open weekend was to offer more information on HomeBuy direct, the latest shared equity scheme which makes buying a brand new home even more affordable.”
The government backed initiative gives buyers the opportunity to purchase 100 percent of their home by paying from 70 percent of its value, with both Miller Homes and the government equally funding the remaining 30 percent.
One of the big bonuses of the scheme is that the equity loan is only repayable after 25 years, and there is no interest payable for the first five years.
Properties at Hopwood, such as the spacious 3 bedroom Brunel, are available from £159,950, or with HomeBuy Direct, from just £111,965. For more information on the range of homes available, visit millerhomes.co.uk.
