Mother and son find flexible living in Tamworth

Mother and son find flexible living in Tamworth A mother and son from Tamworth proved just how flexible three-storey living can be when they bought the former framboise au chocolate showhome at David Wilson Mercia’s Tamefield Rise development.

Ann (39), her partner Stephen Barton (35) and her son, Andrew (19), moved back to her hometown from Sheffield when she purchased the beautiful Queensville property at the Leyland Road development in Glascote. She first saw the house when she popped into Tamefield Rise whilst visiting a friend and the rest, as Ann says, was history.

Having lived for a few years in Sheffield, Ann wanted to move back to Tamworth where Andrew - who has a form of cancer called Hodgkins Lymphoma – has a lot of friends.

Ann said, “As soon as I saw the Queensville I knew that was where we would be moving to and calling home. I just thought ‘wow’ as soon as I walked in and fell in love with everything about the house as well as the development.”

“I wanted somewhere where Andrew could have his own space so we could live under the same roof so I can look after him, but almost live separately. I think we’ve really proved the theory of flexibility of three-storey homes.

“The family room on the ground floor is so big, light and airy and I spend all my time there. We converted the top floor into a flat for Andrew so he has his own living space and bedroom which is brilliant.

“I have even made the study on the ground floor into a beauty room with a couch so that when Andrew is better, I can start up a nails and beauty business from home. The Queensville has allowed us to do so much and has slotted into our lives perfectly.”

Ann had always wanted a new build home for the ease of moving in with everything in its place and having the chance to buy the development’s chocolate and raspberry showhome was the icing on the cake.

“The whole purchasing experience has been fantastic with David Wilson. The sales negotiator was so understanding and was really helpful – she really gave everything she could and I would recommend anyone buying here in a heartbeat,” Ann added.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for David Wilson Mercia, said, “It is fantastic to see that Ann and Andrew have had such a positive experience with us and that they have found the Queensville exactly fits its purpose of allowing people to live the way they want in their brand new home. Our values with customer service are to accommodate people and work around their needs, whatever their situation.

“Tamefield Rise is a superb development, well located in a quiet area of Tamworth. It has a number of properties on offer including more three-bedroom Queensville homes and four-bedroom two-storey Selkirk properties – two different homes which both cater for differing needs of families as well as couples looking to buy.”

Tamefield Rise is situated on Leyland Road in Glascote near Tamworth with three- and four-bedroom homes starting from £181,750. For further information, log on to dwh.co.uk/tamefieldrise.
