Burgess Brook ticks all the boxes for buyers

Burgess Brook ticks all the boxes for buyers After searching high and low for a perfect family abode, purchasers Andy (36) and partner Maren (35) found the ideal place to call home at David Wilson Mercia’s Burgess Brook development on Keele Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The couple and their 10 month old son, Isaac, were previously living in a three-bedroom home in Warwickshire on the outskirts of Leamington Spa. However after Andy changed jobs, the pair decided that it was time to find a new home too.

Andy, a purchasing project manager explained, “I changed jobs about two years ago and as a result had a daily commute of anywhere up to two and a half hours. But with Isaac on the way, we knew that this just wouldn’t be practical in the long term and decided that we needed to find a home closer to my workplace.

“While we did consider buying an older property, we were really attracted to the prospect of buying new. Not only would it mean that there is less maintenance required, but it would also allow us to part-exchange our old property which was important to us because we had a tight moving schedule due to my relocation package.”

After looking at several properties, Andy and Maren could not find anything that they felt truly happy with. Andy continued, “We looked at lots of other developments in the area, but nothing really cut the mustard. We found that we either liked the houses but not the development, or liked the development but not the houses. That was until we came across Burgess Brook and it just ticked all the boxes for us.

“What’s more it has meant that I have been able to cut down my daily commute time to around half an hour so I can spend much more time with Maren and Isaac which is what we really wanted out of all of this.”

Maren who works as an administrator added, “We were attracted to Burgess Brook for many reasons. Firstly, it is excellently located just a few minutes in one direction to all the shops and amenities of the town centre and just a few minutes to the rolling countryside in the other. It is also a fairly substantial development and there is a good mix of people living here, which we really liked.

“We made the decision to use David Wilson’s part-exchange scheme because we had to move by a specific date, so it was great to have a guaranteed buyer, particularly in the current market where it is more difficult to sell a property. Plus we didn’t have to wait around or worry about getting stuck in a chain which was a real bonus for us.”

David Wilson’s part-exchange scheme is very popular with purchasers who, like Andy and Maren, are looking for a quick and stress-free way to sell their old property and buy a brand new David Wilson home. David Wilson, Sales Director for David Wilson Mercia commented, “Purchasers who take advantage of our part-exchange scheme will enjoy a stress-free move. We offer a fair market value on the property, pay all the associated selling costs such as the estate agents fees and Home Information Pack (HIP), and because we are effectively a cash buyer there are no chains to worry about.

“With a selection of three- and four-bedroom houses available, Burgess Brook is an ideal family development. It is great to see that Andy and Maren have found the perfect home for their new family and I’m sure many more will find that Burgess Brook is just as perfect for them.”

Andy concluded, “We are extremely happy with our new home, the staff at David Wilson were great throughout the move and we would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new home.”

Burgess Brook offers a selection of two-bedroom apartments and three- and four-bedroom houses. Prices range from £105,000 to £277,500. For more information, log on to Dwh.co.uk.
