‘Who cares wins’ in Staffs new build housing market

The results are from year-to-date Customer Satisfaction surveys across 12 sites in the region, with one of the best performing being Fallowfields in Huntington Village. This picturesque development of 85 new homes on the edge of Cannock Chase got perfect marks, in the recommendation stakes, but also scored 100% in all the other questions covering the pre, during, post sale and handover stages.
Questions such as ‘quality of home’, ‘finish of home’, ‘service before moving in’, and ‘home handed over exactly as expected’ also scored 100% for the development, which is proving popular with first time buyers, young professionals and growing families alike because of the value-for-money location, accessibility and plethora of local village amenities.
Sales & marketing director Carol Edwards says: “It’s fantastic news and proves that we do strive to consider the end-user from the outset. What’s more, this is against a backdrop of far greater competition and a better educated consumer with an increased awareness of what is available in the new homes sector. Our production director, Stuart Payne, is adamant that every home be treated like it was his own and says a ‘right first time’ approach will ensure that customers stick with us for many years to come – and commend what we do to family and friends.
“The surveys are independently carried out by the National House Building Council (NHBC), whose primary purpose is to raise standards in the new house-building industry. And the protection new home buyers have in the form of their 10-year guarantee is something the second hand market simply cannot match. Customers are also increasingly aware that new homes are, on average, four times as energy efficient as their Victorian counterparts, plus they’re ready to live in straight away (no amateur renovations or garish decorating to put right) and require minimal maintenance and upkeep.”
Fallowfields is also making a name for itself because all 85 properties have a coveted garage - rare in today's space conscious market. And apart from its proximity to a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty in Cannock Chase, the development will offer tree-lined avenues, lots of established, mature planting, plus a host of natural areas within its boundaries - because it falls in restricted green belt!
