Speedy sales at The Carrs

28th September 2007 Print
The Carrs Barratt sales negotiator Andrew Somerville is riding the crest of a wave following a speedy sales success in the regenerating seaside town of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.

Andrew heads sales at The Carrs which is just five minutes from the beach currently undergoing a multi-million pound regeneration including 500,000 tonnes of new golden sand, to help restore it to its former glory.

“Newbiggin is an area where the demand for quality brand new housing is very high, and yet there continues to be a lack of new homes,” said Andrew who has just sold another five properties in the last fortnight. “This is why developments like The Carrs are proving so sought-after.

“With all the regeneration taking place the town is set to become a very desirable place to live once more, and Barratt is ready to meet that demand with this new development of homes suitable for all ages, from first-time buyers, families and investors looking for holiday lets to down-sizers who fancy retiring to the seaside.”

Among the designs being built at The Carrs are 3 bedroom Palmerston and 4 bedroom Woodcote styles priced from £142,500 to £206,500.

The well-designed Washington is an ideal first home, offering an entrance hallway, fitted kitchen, open-plan living room with dining area and French doors into a private back garden. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

The Palmerston features an entrance lobby giving access to the downstairs wc. The open plan lounge has a staircase leading to the first floor where two double bedrooms and a single bedroom are served by the family bathroom. The fitted kitchen has a dining area to seat five and French doors into the back garden.

The Woodcote is built over three floors and features on the ground floor: a fitted kitchen with breakfast area to seat four, lounge with dining area to seat six people and French doors into the back garden. There is also a downstairs wc. The first floor has two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and the family bathroom while the loft room features a double bedroom with dressing area and en suite shower room.

“These homes will be an excellent investment in an excellent situation,” added Andrew. “It is well located for the A189 spine road with its links to Cramlington and North Tyneside. It also has easy links to Morpeth and the A1 via the A197.”

The sales office is open daily from 11am to 6pm, closed Wednesday and Thursday, or log on to Barratthomes.co.uk for more details.
