Andrew's top for customer service at The Carrs

Barratt Newcastle sales adviser Andrew Somerville is celebrating after scooping a top award for his efforts in helping homebuyers. Andrew is sales adviser at the housebuilder's The Carrs development in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and beat off competition from colleagues to secure the award for excellence in customer care.

He said: "I'm absolutely delighted and getting an award like this makes all the effort worthwhile. I've always tried to give my best to customers; it's what I would expect if I were a customer so I make sure I give it back.

"I think it makes a real difference to people and in particular to people buying and moving into a new home. It's such a big event in people's lives so I try to make sure I help them wherever and whenever I can."

Andrew's award followed results of surveys completed by all new homebuyers after moving into their new home.

"I really love my job and I do take it seriously and providing a great service is integral to that," he said. I've always tried to make sure that customers are kept informed and try to make sure things that need doing for customers are done quickly.

"I'd like to hope that my efforts are part of the reason why The Carrs has been so popular too as the development has been selling really well. In fact we've only got a handful of homes left for sale now," adds Andrew.
