Hackwood Glade: A fine place to roost

14th January 2009 Print
Househunters of the feathered variety are being treated to contemporary new homes at George Wimpey's Hackwood Glade development in Hexham. Sales executives at the development are installing bird boxes to attract more wildlife to the area and provide a cosy roosting place for birds over the winter.

It is hoped that the boxes will also be used as safe nesting sites when the new breeding season starts in the spring.

Sales and marketing director, Joan Peart, comments: "Because the development has a lot of beautiful trees and wildlife already, it is the perfect place to put up the bird boxes in a safe environment, out of the reach of cats and other predators.

"We're looking forward to seeing our first new feathered residents move in and, with any luck, we'll see a successful brood produced in our new bird homes later this year."

Not forgetting homeseekers of the human kind, Hackwood Glade offers the perfect chance to own a new-build home in a highly enviable location. Situated in Hexham's leafy Gallows Bank, conveniently positioned for shops, schools and a host of local amenities, the new outlet comprises 33 high quality properties.

Currently available at the development is a range of three, four and five bedroom homes from £199,995 together with a new range of two bedroom apartments starting from £159,995.

George Wimpey is also offering buyers a range of schemes to help make their move to Hackwood Glade as easy and stress-free as possible. These include its Easymover scheme though which it organises the sale of the buyer's existing property as well as settling their estate agent's fees, and the Part Exchange scheme where buyers have the opportunity to part exchange their home for selected properties at the development.
