Would you trust your friend to chose you a new home?

Mr and Mrs Brown of Dubai did just that. Gail and Ken Brown live in Dubai although wanted a home in the Chesterfield area for their visits back to the UK and eventually to retire to. They entrusted their very good friend Rob Wilkins to search suitable properties in the Chatsworth area of Chesterfield where he discovered Miller Homes’ exclusive Chatsworth Park development.

“The sun-soaked sands and soaring temperatures of Dubai are great but we know that one day we will return to the UK so we would need a home back there, plus we have family in Chesterfield.

The Brown’s originally from Chesterfield moved over to Dubai two years ago. Once they had settled the couple sold their four bedroom home in Chesterfield and began the search along with their trusted friend for a more suitable property that could be their base during frequent trips to the UK and eventually somewhere nice to retire to.

“We have now been back to Chesterfield to view our property and are so pleased with the development and our plot. Rob has made an excellent choice, he chose a beautiful apartment overlooking fields,” continued Gail.

Not only did the Brown’s trust their friend to choose their property they also enlisted the help of their daughter. As with all Miller properties buyers can choose from a wide range of fixtures and fittings to finish the transformation from house to home. The couple’s daughter visited the exquisitely designed showhome at Chatsworth Park and took pictures of the options available including, kitchen units, tiles and carpets. She then emailed them over to Dubai where Mrs Brown made her decisions.

Gail said: “It was really exciting to think that I was choosing my new fittings from thousands of miles away and I was amazed at how easy it was! There was only one thing I did change when we came over which was the colour of the carpet, it looked a little lighter on the picture, but everything else was perfect!

“We can’t wait to see the finished apartment and are thankful to our good friend Rob, our daughter and the excellent Miller sales advisors who have kept us updated along each step of the way.”
