Breakfast is served at The Ridings in Willington

The students at Parkside School in Willington are delighted with their new kitchen which was kindly donated by local housebuilder, Charles Church. Installed in ‘The Zone' classroom, the kitchen caters for the newly established Breakfast Club which is open every morning between 8am and 8.40am, to support parents and provide students with a healthy start to the day.

Parkside School is located just two minutes away from Charles Church's The Ridings development in Willington. Claire Young, Extended Services Co-ordinator at Parkside School, decided to approach Charles Church to see if they could support the local secondary school by providing a kitchen for the ‘The Zone', which was in need of modernisation, as Claire explains:

"I was extremely impressed with the excellent levels of customer service I received from Charles Church-Parkside School urgently required kitchen units for our Zone classroom, which is used for a range of extra curricular activities including the new Breakfast Club and Charles Church stepped up to the challenge!"

Charles Church were delighted in assisting Parkside School and a stylish Roundel kitchen, complete with electric hob, oven and extractor canopy, has now been installed so the pupils can enjoy a nutritious breakfast before lessons start.

"We are extremely grateful to Charles Church for supplying us with a fantastic new kitchen and giving something back to the community. The kitchen is already proving popular with students and staff, a rabbit stew was on the menu recently and went down very well!"
