Debut leads to encore for starter homes in Hilton

First time buyers may be going through a tough time but Redrow is looking to get them back on track with its Debut@Hilton venture - but with only five homes remaining buyers need to ‘move' quickly.

The award-winning housebuilder's affordable venture, off Welland Road, Hilton, near Derby, has helped many first-timers' make the leap on the property ladder and with prices from less than £60, 000,* it's no surprise there's only a collection of homes left.

Among those still available at Debut @ Hilton is the two-bedroom, two storey ‘Debut four' design, which come with bedrooms and bathroom at entry level and an open plan living space, dining area and kitchen on the floor above. The ‘Debut Four' is priced from £60,000*, while the Debut Five, priced at just £77,000** has a similar layout, but also has an extra room, called ‘Think', ideal for a study area.

Thanks to the way in which the Debut homes are constructed, using a lightweight structural steel frame and other modern methods of construction to speed up the build programme without compromising on quality, the homes can be offered at a more affordable price.

Instead of private gardens, there's carefully planned communal outdoor space tended by Redrow's own management company, which contributes to a sense of place as well as helping to keep prices low. And a legal framework is in place to prevent buy-to-let investors from snapping up the Debut homes.
