First time buyers get their just desserts

First time buyers get their just desserts First-time buyers, Lydia Taylor and Allan Bale have found their dream first home together at David Wilson East Midlands' Castle Heights development on Castle Road in Church Gresley, all thanks to some home-made profiteroles.

The couple who had previously been living with family were so impressed with the homes at Castle Heights that they decided to buy one after their very first viewing. Lydia explained, "Although Allan and I were keen to get on the property ladder together, we really didn't think we would be able to afford to buy just yet. Then one day I was making profiteroles and saw an advertisement in the local paper for Castle Heights and decided to take a look.

"I was so impressed with the development and the homes available that I got Allan to take a look straight away and we reserved a three-bedroom, three-storey home that same day. As first-time buyers we had quite a tight budget but David Wilson really helped us to make our dream of home ownership come true with some great deals including a cash discount. Plus once the sales team heard about my baking skills, they offered us free carpets in exchange for some profiteroles!"

Allan added, "We wanted a home with plenty of room, so chose a three-storey property which gave us all the space we needed but at a better price than a traditional two-storey house. Having lived in new build homes before we knew the benefits, like the fact that we don't have to worry about maintenance or DIY. We were, however, very impressed with the standard of homes at Castle Heights and the extra finishing touches that David Wilson offered such as the outside tap which meant that we didn't have to worry about anything other than how to enjoy our new home."

Philip Lacey, Sales Director for David Wilson commented, "A brand new home is ideal for all kinds of purchasers especially first-time buyers like Lydia and Allan, due to the range of home moving solutions which we can offer. These kinds of solutions are simply not available when buying a second hand home.

"For example, we can pay a purchaser's deposit and provide help towards legal fees. Those moving to a larger home could use our part-exchange service, while a fully fitted kitchen and brand new fixtures and fittings mean homebuyers can move in and enjoy their new home from day one without any hassle."

Castle Heights is ideally located within easy reach of Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent and Ashby de la Zouch, the A444 and M42 are also close by.

Castle Heights, on Castle Road, is a development of one- two- three- four- and five-bedroom homes. Prices start from £79,950. For more information log on to Dwh.co.uk/castlehieghts.
