Last chance for Hilton home buyers to make their Debut

1st December 2008 Print
Last chance for Hilton home buyers to make their Debut First time buyers may be going through a tough time but Redrow is looking to get them back on track with its final homes at Debut @ Hilton, near Derby, which are now available for an initial outlay of just £50,000. The award-winning housebuilder's affordable venture, off Welland Road, Hilton, has helped many first-timers make the leap on to the property ladder and, as a consequence, only two properties remain.

Buyers wishing to snatch these last two chances can own 100% of their new Debut home from day one, but pay only 75% of the purchase price.

This means that the two remaining ‘D4' designs - which come with two bedrooms and bathroom at entry level and an open plan living space, dining area and kitchen on the floor above - can be snapped up for an initial outlay of just £50,000. No deposit is required and the balance of £16,000 is deferred for up to 10 years.

Also, at a time when household fuel bills are rising, Debut @ Hilton has another ace up its sleeve. The Debut homes have been designed and built with sustainability in mind, delivering lower fuel bills, less water consumption, and using materials chosen for higher than average recyclability.

Another advantage for the consumer is that they pay a single monthly service charge, which includes the gas and electricity bills, plus water rates, buildings insurance, external maintenance and even the cost of window cleaning, which makes it so much easier for them to budget.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands) says: "Property prices may be falling in the current climate but they are still often too high for first time buyers on a typical salary. Therefore these Debut homes and the deferred payment scheme have provided a lifeline for people who feared they would never be able to own a home of their own.

"Also the fact that there is only one bill each month for the main household costs - including gas and electricity - makes budgeting easier and helps smooth the transition from renting or living with parents."

Debut @ Hilton is positioned close to the A50 and A38, with links to the Midlands' motorway network, and overlooks open fields to give the development a semi-rural feel. In contrast, the nearby cities of Derby and Stoke offer major shopping and cultural opportunities.

Hilton itself has plenty of local amenities and it's close to the Derbyshire Dales with their stunning scenery, refreshing walks, historic properties and outdoor sports.
