Stock of new homes in Derbyshire hits record low
Once in a generation discounts on new Barratt homes in Derbyshire are set to end within weeks because the housebuilder has sold all but two of its stock homes during a highly successful autumn marketing drive.Barratt has sold 148 homes across the North Midlands since September during a period when pundits were writing obituaries for the housing market.
But now visitor levels are higher than last year - with over 1,200 people visiting Barratt sites in the North Midlands in the last three months. It means that the big discounts which buyers can now take advantage of will soon become a thing of the past.
"People who want a new home have worked out that there will never be a better time to buy," said James Poynor, sales director at Barratt North Midlands.
"More and more people are cottoning on to this and the number of potential customers visiting our sites is actually higher than it was 12 months ago. We've had over 1,200 visitors in the last three months alone."
"While bargain hunters seem to be out in force, supply is going down. We sold 148 homes during the autumn selling season and now only have 35 left across the North Midlands with two in Derbyshire."
"Time is running out on the once in a generation deals which we've been offering homebuyers in the last few weeks. We just won't have the level of stock left to sell."
Homes currently available from Barratt North Midlands include The Glade in Church Gresley, The Spires in Chesterfield, City Point in Wilmorton and Hallam Fields in Ilkeston.
Offering a range of homes from one, two and three bedroom apartments, two bedroom starter homes to three and four bedroom family homes, Barratt North Midlands' The Glade, The Spires, City Point and Hallam Fields developments have something to offer everyone in Derbyshire.
