Designer touch gives developers the edges

Designer touch gives developers the edges Working with award winning architects to deliver leading-edge designed homes is proving an increasing trend within the housebuilding sector, as consumers demand more from new build homes and housebuilders compete more fiercely than ever to attract customers, according to Linden Homes.

At its latest development, be at Newhall, Linden Homes Eastern has teamed up with award winning architect Alison Brooks to contribute to an aspirational new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Harlow. Alison Brooks has designed a range of contemporary, eco-friendly, practical living spaces, priced within reach of today’s budget conscious homebuyer. The homes embrace open plan living, with living spaces opening seamlessly onto expertly designed gardens, while incorporating an extensive use of glass to maximise on light.

Roseanne Bullen, Sales and Marketing Manager, Linden Homes Eastern, comments:

“As we face an increasingly challenging market, it’s more important than ever that we ensure our homes always exceed buyer’s expectations. By forming close working relationships with leading architects we can provide homes which offer buyers something unique and highly desirable. Working together we can not only provide much needed new housing, but we can ensure our developments always offer buyers a home they aspire to own at an affordable price.”

Taking principles from its Stirling Prize-winning residential development Accordia in Cambridge, Alison Brooks has delivered a unique selection of homes for Linden Eastern.

Alison Brooks, comments:

“Buying an architect designed home should be accessible to all homebuyers. If developers and the UK’s leading architects work in partnership, design-led homes could and should become a reality, not just for smaller, bespoke projects but also for larger schemes. be at Newhall is a perfect example of how these homes can be produced on larger scale, without compromising on style or incurring a disproportionate price tag.

“Taking the basic principles and the lessons learned from some of our previous leading schemes and award winning projects, we have created a desirable, comfortable, sustainable, spacious, innovative and flexible selection of homes at be.”

The scheme comprises 85 one, two and three bedroom apartments, two and three bedroom courtyard homes and three and four bedroom detached villas. The first phase, includes a selection of two and three bedroom courtyard homes and three and four bedroom villas, with prices starting from £280,000.
