Showhome offers a flavour of affordable living

And the even better news is that the showhome is on the Highfields Park development in Derby, which has just been granted Homebuy Direct Scheme status, making it even easier than ever before for people to get on to the property ladder.
The scheme has been carefully structured to enable people to take an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price which will be co-funded by Miller Homes and the Government.
This means that they will only need to find a mortgage to cover 70 per cent of the purchase price but can still own 100 per cent of the property.
The loan, on which there is no interest to pay for the first five years, is only repayable after 25 years or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.
Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “With carefully-thought-out schemes such as Homebuy Direct, more and more people can afford the home of their dreams.
“People can buy with confidence and the recent sales increase in the new homes market will continue apace. I don’t believe that there has been a better time to buy a new property.”
The new showhome is the Auden and it can be found at the Highfields Park development just off the A38 and close to the leafy Darley Abbey area of Derby.
The first stand-out feature of The Auden is the walk-in bay window, with French doors that open onto a secluded garden. Arranged over three storeys, the master bedroom occupies the top floor, providing a private area that includes an en-suite bathroom and a dressing room.
Another feature that is proving highly popular is the spacious kitchen/diner that would make a fantastic social area for budding chefs or a social butterfly.
The three-bedroomed showhome, which also has a study on the first floor, has been decorated in warm tones of terracotta creams and beige, offering a glimpse of how a home could look.
Joy continued: “Decorated to a high level, visitors will be able to imagine themselves living in The Auden. Highfields Park is in a great location, close as it is to the vibrant city of Derby and the commuter routes to Nottingham and Birmingham.
“Highfields Park is also close to the Peak District so it really does offer something for everyone. The fact that it is now part of the Homebuy Direct Scheme means that more people will be able to buy into the lifestyle.”
Highfields Park can be found off Broadway, Derby and is open Friday to Wednesday 10.30am to 5.30pm & on Thursdays between 11.30am and 6.30pm
