Happy families at Heritage View in Buxton

Happy families at Heritage View in Buxton A happy family who moved into a new property from Housebuilder of the Year, Miller Homes East Midlands, have recommended the scheme to other buyers. The Cantrell family, Lisa (37), Andrew (44), James (13) and Billy (11), moved into Heritage View in Buxton in September last year – just six weeks after seeing the property and reserving it.

The family had decided to move from the Harpur Hill area of the town and had their own home to sell before they could move – or so they thought.

Lisa commented: “I can’t believe how quickly it all happened really. We moved in six weeks, and we got a good price for the home we were selling and did not have the burden of having to pay estate agents fees or host viewings.”

Under the Miller Homes part-exchange scheme, there is no chain and no need for a bridging loan. This hassle-free option to buying also cuts advertising costs, home information pack fees and estate agent fees, which all add to the strain when buying that perfect home.

Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “Contrary to talk of housing slumps, we have been able to help dozens of people move home thanks to innovative schemes like part-exchange.

“There’s actually a lot of confidence in the market at the moment particularly when people realise that they can afford a new property without having the stresses of having to sell their own homes.”

Situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Heritage View, off Leek Road, is to the south west of the spa town of Buxton, with its excellent road and rail links to a number of major towns and cities.
