Spring makeover for flexible showhome

5th June 2009 Print
Spring makeover for flexible showhome Spring is traditionally a time of replacing the old with the new and showhomes, which are often the focal points of new homes developments, are no different.

With that in mind, Bardon- based housebuilder David Wilson East Midlands, set interior design company, Claude Hooper, a challenge to makeover its Winchester showhome at its Castle Heights development in Church Gresley.

Carrie Goodman, Interior Designer at Claude Hooper oversaw the re-vamp. She comments “Our brief was simple- make the showhome lighter and brighter for the summer and so we decided to add in a spring green colour to freshen the scheme up.

“We replaced some of the neutral and brown wallpapers with jazzier designs and added green accessories throughout. This gave the showhome a whole new look and brought it up to date with the latest interior design fashions and trends.”

Philip Lacey, Sales Director at David Wilson comments “We’re thrilled with the results of the makeover. The old showhome was quite traditional with neutral and classic colours but the new scheme adds lots of colour and freshens up the décor just in time for summer.

“The Winchester is a great style and the showhome showcases perfectly how purchasers can use the space to create a light and airy interior ideal for families looking for a modern property that can meet the demands of their modern lifestyles.”

The Winchester is a three storey, three- bedroom townhouse offering spacious accommodation and a flexible living space. The ground floor boasts a welcoming entrance hall, cloakroom as well as a good size fully fitted kitchen that leads onto a large, open plan family and dining area. The first floor comprises a large lounge, which could be used as a fourth bedroom depending on the purchasers’ needs, plus the family bathroom and a further good size bedroom. The second floor completes this outstanding size with two double bedrooms, the master of which benefits from en-suite facilities.

There are currently seven Winchester style homes available at Castle Heights and prices start from £179,995.

Situated on Castle Road, Castle Heights offers an extensive selection of one-, two-, three- and four- bedroom homes in a pleasing location on the edge of open countryside.
