Hilton site manager has pride in the job

Daren collected a ‘Pride in the Job’ Quality Award in this year’s prestigious National House-Building Council (NHBC) competition.
The awards recognise site managers who consistently demonstrate outstanding commitment to the building of high-quality new homes – and ensure the smooth and safe running of developments.
Ian Smith, Regional Managing Director for George Wimpey North Midlands, comments: “Darren’s selection by independent judges for an award in this highly esteemed competition makes us all extremely proud.
“Receiving the Quality Award is testament to his dedication, management skills and his whole team’s pride in building the highest quality new homes and in ensuring their site is safe for visitors and staff alike.”
Achieving a Quality Award is no mean feat. Site managers undergo a stringent selection process with judges visiting developments at key stages of the construction process to assess them on all aspects of home building.
Each of the 400 winners is chosen from more than 18,000 NHBC registered housebuilders who run sites across the country – making the Quality Award a highly respected and much-sought after accolade in the house building industry.
This year Taylor Wimpey regions throughout the UK, which includes George Wimpey and Bryant Homes developments, fielded a record 70 ‘Pride in the Job’ Quality Award-winners.
All the winners now go forward to compete in the next round for a Top 100 Seal of Excellence Award and a Regional Award, before the UK’s four Supreme Award winners are announced at a gala ceremony in January 2010.
Homes at Oakhampton are priced from £88,000 and enjoy an excellent location close to a nature reserve and Hilton village centre, and just a short drive from Derby.
The Sales Centre is located off The Mease, Hilton and is open daily from 11am to 5pm, or log on to georgewimpey.co.uk for more details.
